The National Football Museum, which closed its doors in Preston in spring 2010, is scheduled to re-open at Manchester’s Urbis building on 6 July. Exhibits will include the ball from the 1966 World Cup Final and the shirt Diego Maradona wore as he scored the infamous ‘hand of God’ goal against England in 1986. The Homes of Football collection of the work of photographer Stuart Roy Clarke is moving from the Lake District to become part of the Museum. Read our guest blog from the Museum's director.

The Museum of Liverpool is now open. Its Wondrous Place gallery includes material from the Everton Collection and Kicking and Screaming, an ‘immersive’ film about football, as well as an exhibition about boxing. There are items connected to boxer John Conteh, cyclist Chris Boardman and gymnast Beth Tweddle.
Stadium tours are also available at Aberdeen, Aston Villa, Birmingham City, Blackburn Rovers, Blackpool, Bolton Wanderers, Burnley, Coventry City, Derby County, Everton, Fulham, Hull City, Ipswich Town, Leeds United, Leicester City, Middlesbrough, Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest, Preston North End, Queens Park Rangers, Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday, Southampton, Stoke City, Sunderland, Tottenham Hotspur, West Bromwich Albion, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
